The Frog Who Learned to Breathe Slowly
Beside a quiet pond, where the water shone like glass under the moon, lived a little frog named Theo.
Theo was cheerful and curious.
He loved jumping from leaf to leaf and croaking happily with his friends.
But when night came, Theo felt strange inside.
His heart beat fast.
His thoughts hopped everywhere.
And sleep would not come.
š A Restless Pond
The pond was calm.
Water lilies floated gently.
Fireflies blinked like tiny stars.
Other frogs were already asleep.
Theo sat on a smooth stone and sighed.
āIām tired,ā he said softly,
ābut my body wonāt slow down.ā
š The Pond Teaches a Secret
The water rippled quietly, and an old turtleās voice floated up.
āLittle frog,ā the turtle said,
āhave you tried breathing with the pond?ā
Theo blinked.
āBreathing⦠with the pond?ā
š¬ļø Slow In, Slow Out
āWatch,ā the turtle said.
The pond rose gently with the breezeā¦
then settled again.
Theo copied it.
In⦠slow and deep.
Out⦠soft and long.
Again.
With every breath, Theoās shoulders relaxed.
His legs felt heavy.
The busy hopping in his mind grew quiet.
⨠Breathing Becomes a Lullaby
Theo breathed again.
In⦠like a calm wave.
Out⦠like water resting.
The night seemed to breathe with him.
Crickets sang slower.
The moon shone warmer.
The pond felt like a cradle.
š¤ Sleep Arrives Gently
Theo curled up on his stone.
āOne more breath,ā he whispered.
Inā¦
Outā¦
Before he could take another,
Theo was already asleep.
Peaceful.
Still.
Smiling.
š A New Night Habit
From that night on, whenever Theo felt restless,
he stopped jumping.
He breathed slowly.
Just like the pond.
And sleep always found him.
š¼ Moral of the Story
Slow breathing calms the body- Nature can teach us how to rest
- Peace comes one breath at a time
